Today in my African American Studies course, my professor asked our class why we thought there was a lack of student activism compared to the Civil Rights Movement. I couldn't help but notice an ironic illustration of such a trend, sitting across the room from me: a girl was wearing the Urban Outfitters baseball tee with the phrase "Voting is for old people" emblazoned across it.

Elaine, you are right on. Plus, I was actually even thinking at first you were saying that there you were in class TALKING about action as opposed to TAKING action.
